I had the pleasure of photographing Kate’s brother Andy’s wedding a few years ago and so was over the moon when Kate then booked me as her wedding photographer. I love this wonderful family, they are all so accommodating and made me feel really welcome during the wedding day and it was great to catch up with Adam, Lucy the the new addition to their family. It was pretty clear from the beginning that this was going to be an amazing and fun day when we visited both Kate and Adam for prep-visits.
Letting the day flow naturally and photographing from the background meant that we were able to get some fantastic natural photos and I just love the ones at Repton Church before the ceremony. I think everybody knows it’s one of my favourite parts of the day to photograph because you just don’t know how much emotion there will be when the bride arrives until it happens. Then it was off to the beautiful Swinfen Hall for the wedding reception. I like photographing at Swinfen Hall it’s such a lovely venue to work at with it’s huge grounds it helps to keep the day nice and relaxed.
One of the things I really don’t like about blogging my weddings is having to leave out huge sections from the day. I get carried away and start prepping images then realise there’s hundreds and have to do a little cut otherwise you’d be here for days. Here are just a few of my favourites from Kate & Adam’s wedding and I think we all did really well in hiding the fact that Adam had a broken arm 🙂
